The Three Designs in Two Phases Each
Tři návrhy, každý ve dvou fázích
Still further variation was added when the design was redrawn six times. The resulting six differences are identified by Czech collectors with the Roman numerals I, II, III, IV, V, and Va. However this website uses a different terminology. Look carefully at the images at the top of this page. Note that the first and second image appear similar form a similar pair, as do the third and fourth images, and the fifth and sixth images. For each pair of postage stamps, the side panes are identical. In the first pair, the side panels contain captions, in the second pair circles, and in the third pair there is an abstract design.
Therefore, the first pair are called the The Captioned Design, the second pair The Circles Design, and the third pair The Abstract design. Since each of these designs appears in two slightly different forms, each consists of an Initial Phase and a Final Phase. I believe this newer terminology better describes the similarities and differences found in these beautiful postage stamps.
Při překreslení návrhu, které se provedlo šetkrát, byla přidána ještě jedna varianta. Výsledných šest provedení označili čeští sběratelé římskými čislicemi I, II, III, IV, V a Va. Avšak tato webová stránka používá odlišnou terminologii. Podíváte-li se pozorně na scény na horní straně této stránky, všimněte si, že první a druhá scéna zobrazují podobnou formu obrázku, stejně je to u třetí a čvrté scény, a totéž u páté a šesté. Každá dvojice poštovních známek má stejné orámování. První dvojice má Orámování s Nápisem, druhý pár má Orámování s Kruhy a ta třetí Orámování s Abstraktní kresbu.
Proto budeme ten první pár nazývat Orámování s Nápisem, ten druhý Orámování s Kruhy a ten třetí Orámování Abstraktní. Každý pár se skládá z počáteční a konečné fáze. Doufám, že tento popis lépe vystihuje podobnosti a odlišnosti těchto nádherných známek.
